Sabers Residence
Wayzata, Minnesota
This 70’s era split level originally was built as a “tudor” wannabe with many small rooms and very little character. The project goal was to transform the house into a contemporary home for a growing family with open, functional living space. The existing living room, dining room, and kitchen were rearranged and opened up to create a new great room. A small away room is off the living space and a new screened porch was added as an outdoor space while not diminishing any views from the great room. The lower level was opened up to create a new mudroom/family entry and a new entertainment space. A new couple’s room was added over the existing garage. The new couple’s bath and dressing room was redesigned from the existing master bedroom and small 3/4 bath. The children’s bedrooms and bathromm were updated. See before interior, exterior.
