Cabin on Lake Superior
Shore of Lake Superior, Minnesota
Based on the simple "A-frame," this cabin was intended to be a family retreat on the North shore of Lake Superior. When the owners' daughter, who used to spend long hours camping on the property, died during construction, it also became a way to pay her homage. Artistic sketches done by her at the site inspire many of the details in the cabin, such as the stair spindles and the bathroom stencils.
