McCary Residence
Excelsior, Minnesota
Perched on a narrow ridge above Christmas Lake, this prairie-influenced house conforms to stringent setback requirements and replaces an existing non-conforming structure. Where the original house was dark and highly compartmentalized, the new building is light, open and takes full advantage of panoramic lake views from every major living space.
