Hamilton/Jelle House and Studio
Rural Pepin, Wisconsin
Situated on an 80-acre site of dramatic rolling hills and open farmland, the compound consists of a 1200 square foot house and a detached garage and studio. Reminiscent in form to the vernacular of local farm outbuildings, the house is highly energy-efficient and makes use of earth-berming, passive solar orientation, heat sinks and alternative energy sources.
