The primary design goals in remodeling this shingle-style home overlooking the city of Stillwater and the St. Croix River, were to open up the segmented main floor plan into a more fluid space and imbue the plain and unadorned interiors with architectural character in harmony with the home's exterior. A new five-foot by twenty-four-foot addition enables both kitchen and dining spaces to visually open to the outdoor terrace and pool beyond.
