The clients had purchased the plans for SALA Architects “Back to Basics house”. Together they built the home for less than $250,000. They wanted to execute this same efficiency and cost savings when using SALA to design a painting studio and metal shop for their site. With backgrounds in art, the clients material palette is rich in both color and texture to create a sculptural piece nestled into the hillside, accenting their existing home.
