Island Retreat Madeline Island, Wisconsin
Starting as a sketch in the snow, this minimalist retreat is composed of a glass pavilion, a 100-foot-long wall and a floating box. The glass-walled living space affords the occupants a view of Lake Superior, the wall houses the mechanical machines and the box allows for a private retreat.
