Based on the simple A-frame, this cabin was intended to be a family retreat on the North Shore of Lake Superior. When the owners’ daughter, who used to spend long hours camping on the property, died during the time of construction, it also became a way to pay her homage. Artistic sketches done by her at the site inspire many of the details in the cabin, such as the stair spindles and the bathroom stencils.
