Meghan Kell Cornell
Meghan has established an approach that allows the design process to be an open dialogue to increase creativity and to reveal unexpected solutions. Meghan’s most successful projects stem from clients who enthusiastically share their project dreams and are eager to find a solution that is creatively functional, financially attainable, and utterly personal.
With a young family of her own, Meghan delights in the exploration of how remodelings and new homes can support modern family life and strengthen the quality of neighborhood communities. She works to find harmony between old and new when designing remodels and additions for homes of all vintages. When designing new homes, she is inspired by the context of the site and by expressing the owner’s desires while employing ecological considerations.
Meghan’s architectural interests began at home, inspired by her architect father, and has continued to prosper through more than 10 years of professional experience with SALA Architects, Inc. Meghan joined SALA after receiving her Bachelor’s of Architecture from the University of Minnesota in 1997. She is an active member on AIA St. Paul Board and and serves on the National AIA Strategic Initiatives committee on Integrated Project Delivery & Integrated Practice (IPDiG). She is NCARB certified and is a registered architect in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
